| Hawthorne Heights- "Rescue Me" To start off, Hawthorne Heights is my single favorite band. I guess you can say that distorts my view of this video a bit. This song is widely known as the song written for Casey Calvert, their deceases guitarist and screamer. It is a very sentimental song but I think that the video could have been a bit better. I do have to say I like the concept of the girl drowning; I don't on the other hand quite understand what the deal is with the swirling colors. It doesn't make since to me nor does it further the plot of the video in anyway. All in all though I think the song is wonderful; some of their best work as I've watched them grow all the way from "The Silence in Black and White" thier first album that was released in 2004 all the way to their latest album "Fragile Future" released this year. I applaud them for their perserverence to continue to make terriffc music depsite all odds. |

| Cute is What We Aim For- "Practice Makes Perfect" The video for this song is marvelous. It goes very well with the song. People speculated that CIWWAF's seond album wouldn't measure up to their first which was amazing. Those speculators were wrong and this video proves that. The video is something everyone can relate to about making mistakes and learning from them. This song and others on the album measure up completely to those of their last. |
